Factum is a one-of-a-kind metal sculpture, handcrafted from 3mm thick metal sheets. The sculpture is defined by a beautiful contrast between the simplicity of the material and the intricacy of its shape. Its unique form creates a beautiful interplay of gaps and spaces that flow together to create a delicate and elegant structure.
The sculpture is created using sheet metal manipulation techniques to form a unique volume. A welding machine (MIG Mag) is used to add texture to specific areas, enhancing its expressive qualities. The final finishing of the sculpture features a steel brushed texture, and is left uncoated to allow for the natural process of carbon steel oxidation, also known as “Rust in Peace” (RIP), to take place.
